Hi, I’m Lindsey
First of all I would just like to say congratulations on your engagement and upcoming celebrations. It’s such an exciting time and I always feel honoured to be a part of such a special day. It’s an incredible feeling to watch a bride, after all the whirlwind of emotions and adrenaline getting ready throughout the day, to take that first step towards one of the biggest moments and celebrations of their lives, and at that moment, feeling pure joy and readiness, looking and most importantly feeling their best from within.
“ My bridal hairstyling business truly fulfils my creative passions, and working with brides and people in the wedding industry - so full of love and joy - is incredibly rewarding”
My hairstyling background and inspiration
My main employment since my early 20’s was in the NHS and Public Health, alongside this, creating hairstyles had always been a huge passion for me.
A few years ago, I took the leap and gained my Level 2 Hairdressing qualification. Since then, I have continued to train with some of the best educators in the industry including; one to one training with Mon Amie, and Aina M Academy (curly & textured hair) a day with Cherry, online academies; lifetime with Hannah Taylor, beautiful boho with The Artful Hairstylist, modern bridal with Kristina Gasperas and retro Hollywood waves with Carl Brown.
I am now a full time hair stylist and each year I absolutely love meeting my new brides and weddees and working with you all to find your dream hairstyle, that makes you feel amazing!
I’m based out of Leicestershire, and available for travel across Rutland, Leicestershire and surrounding areas in the East Midlands and the East of England.
Where it all began…..
It started from a young age when I was awestruck by singers and rock stars in music videos and whilst looking through vinyls and CDs… I was also always drawn to the singer’s vivacious hairstyles and how they expressed themselves -
from the 1940’s look of Billie Holiday’s barrel waves and curls set with flowers, to the Queen of bohemia Stevie Nick’s heavy bangs and long natural waves to the brightly coloured, backcombed and spritzed hair of Cyndi Lauper.
A little about me…
I live with my wonderful partner and our combined family of 5 children - of which I totally adore. We live in a little village outside of Market Harborough in Leicestershire,.
I have a love for being out in the open air and especially love trips away in our campervan. I’ve always loved Cornwall and would camp here two or three times a year with my young son, spending the day bodyboarding, exploring and chilling on the beach. Heaven.
My new found love is Scotland and whilst travelling around in our campervan in 2025, my partner John proposed to me. So for the first time, after many years of being a single mum and loving styling hair for brides and their weddings and ceremonies, I am now going to be one myself, which is really nice. Meeting my partner, my soul mate and best friend and raising our beautiful children has made me really happy. I’m very grateful!
I love music, I’ve played the guitar since I was teenager and I am currently learning the violin (I find the sound of the violin really emotive and also love a bit of punk folk music) and I love playing with my partner. We made a promise that in 2026 we are going to play at the local pub, but we said this last year too!
