Hello, I’m Lindsey……first of all I would just like to say congratulations on your engagement and upcoming celebrations. It’s such an exciting time and and I always feel honoured to be a part of such a special day. It’s an incredible feeling to watch a bride, after all the whirlwind of emotions and adrenaline getting ready throughout the day, to take that first step towards one of the biggest moments and celebrations of their lives, and at that moment, feeling pure joy and readiness, looking and most importantly feeling their best from within.

“I feel incredibly lucky to be doing a job that lets me be so creative and that helps to make people feel their most vibrant happy self!”

My hairstyling background and inspiration

I’m a qualified hairdresser and specialist wedding hair stylist based in Leicestershire and have been styling hair for over 10 years.

My main employment since my early 20’s was in the NHS and Public Health in admin, project management and managerial roles. I loved this for a long time, but in March 2023 I left this career to focus completely on my hairstyling business, and, it is one of the best decisions I have made. I am in my creative element and get to meet the most fantastic of people!

My Inspiration……

From a young age I’ve always really loved music and getting creative and crafting I think it is these two elements that have combined to inspire my work and to make hairstyling my dream job. Whilst growing up listening to music, watching music videos, looking through vinyls and CDs… I was also always drawn to the singer’s vivacious hairstyles - from the 1940’s look of Billie Holiday’s barrel waves and curls set with flowers, to the Queen of bohemia Stevie Nick’s heavy bangs and long natural waves to the brightly coloured, backcombed and spritzed hair of Cyndi Lauper.

I have spent hours upon hours researching vintage styles and original techniques used to create authentic styles of eras gone by.

I also adore creating more modern hairstyles, including more sleek and relaxed or undone and textured bohemian styles.

I regularly update my training and undertake courses with some of the best in the industry, including Hannah Taylor, The Artful Hairstylist and Carl Brown. To me, hair is a blank canvas which I get to prep, style and set into place to create all sorts of dreamy hairstyles.

A little about me…

I live with my wonderful partner and our combined family of 5 children - of which I totally adore. We live in a little village outside of Market Harborough in Leicestershire, and are lucky enough to be surrounded by gorgeous countryside, walks and sunsets.

I have a love for being out in the open air and especially love being in the the ocean and body boarding.  I have definitely taken inspiration too for hairstyles from the the salty, beachy waves created in our hair after spending hours at the beach.

My favourite pastimes include cooking and eating out with my partner and friends is one of my favourite things to do!  I love a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a draft beer or ale too.

I’ve played the guitar since I was teenager and I am currently learning the violin (I find the sound of the violin really emotive and also love a bit of punk folk music) and love playing and learning with my partner and the kids.
