This is completely down to personal preference. I love creating bridal hairstyles both with and without extensions.
It is worth noting though, that in order to achieve some looks and styles, they may be needed. For example Hollywood waves and volumous waves.
Also, many of the bridal styles you see online (Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) do use hair extensions, which is why a lot of my brides choose to hire them from me or use their own. If you’d like your wedding hair to closely match your inspiration images, extensions can really help us achieve that look.
Extensions also help provide extra support, meaning your curls and waves tend to hold better throughout the day.
For half-up or down styles, even just a couple of rows of clip-in extensions can make a big difference. They add fullness —especially through the lengths and ends, where curls or waves can sometimes separate.
I use ClipHair (www.cliphair.co.uk), which are available in standard or double-weft thickness. I usually purchase double-weft (the fuller option) and then tailor how many we use to suit your hair and your desired level of volume.
If you’ve never worn clip-in extensions before, most brides are surprised by how natural they look and how comfortable they feel.
If you’re unsure, we can always try extensions at your trial and compare your hairstyle with and without them.
Many of my brides are amazed at the amount of volume and hold I can create using the right products and techniques on natural hair.
So either way, your wedding hair will look beautiful and feel like you.

Ideally, yes.
First of all it’s really lovely to say ‘hello’ and get to know you. It’s then great for me to understand your hair type and how it styles and holds. It's a chance to see how the styles you like look, but most importantly feel. We can try up to two or three styles. I'll take plenty of photos and videos to send to you too.
It gives us plenty of time to go over the styles you are thinking of, your outfit and the theme and vibe of your wedding. We can look at veils and or accessories - I have some to try in my Hair Studio too if you're not sure.
We will talk over your bridal party's hair types and styles too.
We are then ready to go on the morning of the ceremony.
I do however understand that budget is important and different to everyone, by choice or not, and so I would never say I wouldn't style your bridal hair because of this. We would definitely need to have at least one WhatsApp / Zoom chat before your wedding, there is nothing like a good chat to go over any details!I will send you much more detail about your trial upon booking.

Usually, it is just the Bride that has the trial, but I am more than happy to do trials with the Bridal Party too.
I totally understand that hair is a personal thing, and that you may have members of the party that are anxious about having their hair styled and you are welcome to book them in for a WhatsApp / Zoom chat with me (I don't charge for these). This often helps them to feel at ease then, knowing I understand any concerns that they have and how I will work with them. -
It is best to have your trial around 3 months before your ceremony date and ideally, once you have your dress.
If you would like to have it earlier than this is fine too, as long as your hair style and colour don't dramatically change before your ceremony, this would work.
I do have limited weekend availability due to wedding bookings. If you cannot attend any of the times available on my calendar, please let me know times and dates that do suit you and I will try my best to accommodate. -
We’ll have already planned your hairstyling schedule together, and I’ll arrive around 15 minutes early to find my space and get set up.
I always aim to have everyone ready at least an hour before you’re due to leave for your ceremony. This gives you time to relax, enjoy any photos, and get into your dress without feeling rushed.
I’ll stay with you right up until you no longer need me or until you walk down the aisle. I’m on hand to help with fitting your veil, getting you into your dress, or anything else you might need at this point. (I’ve often helped dry flower bouquets, find missing items, cut off clothing tags, and much more!)
I’ll also be available for any final touch ups for your bridal party.

Yes, if you have a few queries sometimes it’s just so much easier to have a chat. We can go over the size of the bridal party and timings, your hair style and requirements, personal questions about your hair type and preferences or even just to chat about how the whole process works and what to expect.
Just pop me a message and we can book a call in.
I offer calls to my brides anytime they require leading up to their ceremony date.
